We can investigate the whole day’s electrical function of your heart through 24-hour Holter monitoring. It can be an easy screening test for the early finding of abnormalities in your electrical heart function called arrhythmias.
If you have any of this symptoms, we recommend you have an 24-hour Holter monitoring
- Discomfort or palpitation in your chest
- Shortness of breath during exercise or sleep
- Medical history of syncope or fall
- History of stroke or TIA
- Take your relevant medical history
- Explain all findings and write an official report after 24 hours
- Offer GP or specialist referral if needed
Our doctor will explain the procedure. You will be guided to lie on your back on the examination couch. A small amount of water-based gel will be applied to your chest. There are some leads and a small device attached to your chest, your 24-hour electrical heart function will be recorded with the machine. You will not feel any discomfort.
There are no risks, side effects, or radiation associated with electrocardiograms. It is pretty safe during pregnancy.
