Dr Mozhgan Samimi is a highly experienced clinical haematologist and medical oncologist with decades of specialist practice and more than five years working as a Haematology Consultant in the NHS. She has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of both malignant and non-malignant blood disorders and is recognised for her strong morphology skills in interpreting blood films and bone marrow samples.

Before joining London Private Ultrasound, Dr Samimi held consultant and academic posts immensly experienced in diagnosis of hematology dieseases, combining complex clinical work with teaching, research and service development in haematology and oncology. Her practice focuses on accurate diagnosis, clear communication and evidence-based treatment plans, giving patients rapid answers and personalised care for a wide range of blood conditions.

3. Do I need an NHS GP or hospital referral to attend the clinic?

No. You can self-refer and book directly with London Private Haematology Clinic. If you already have a referral letter or previous results from your GP or hospital, you are welcome to bring them, but they are not essential for booking.

4. What symptoms or problems should prompt a haematology consultation?

You should consider a haematology consultation if you have unexplained tiredness, shortness of breath, recurrent infections, easy bruising, heavy periods, nosebleeds, unexpected weight loss, night sweats, swollen glands, abnormal blood test results or any concern about a possible blood disorder.

5. What blood tests can you arrange?

7. Can you review blood tests carried out elsewhere?

Yes. Dr Aalam Samimi can review and interpret blood tests performed by your GP, hospital or another clinic. She can provide a second opinion, explain what the results mean and recommend any further investigations or treatment if needed.

8. Can you arrange further scans, procedures or referrals if required?

If further investigations are necessary, we can arrange additional blood tests, ultrasound scans and other imaging within London Private Ultrasound, as well as referrals to other specialists or hospitals where appropriate. Our aim is to provide a clear plan and coordinate your ongoing care.

At present, our Private GP Clinic is for adult patients (18+).

13. What if I need regular monitoring?

Yes. Many international patients visit London Private Haematology Clinic while staying in the UK and then continue their care at home.
