Sports injuries usually involve muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, bursa, or soft tissue structures. Ultrasound helps identify exactly which tissue is injured and whether physiotherapy, injection therapy, MRI, or specialist referral is needed.

- Muscle tearsUltrasound assesses the location, length of fibre disruption, haematoma and connective tissue involvement, supporting return-to-sport planning.
