Private breast clinic questions
How much does private breast ultrasound cost?
Private breast ultrasound starts from £219 for one breast with axilla assessment. Both breasts cost £259. More comprehensive packages range from £349 to £1,295.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly by phone, WhatsApp or online.
Can I request a female sonographer?
Yes. Female sonographers are available on request at no extra cost, subject to appointment availability.
What is the difference between breast ultrasound and mammogram?
Ultrasound uses sound waves and is often helpful for lumps, cysts, implants and dense breast tissue. Mammography uses low-dose X-rays and is commonly used for screening, especially over 40. The One Stop Breast Clinic combines both with surgeon review.
How quickly do I get results?
Verbal results are usually discussed during the appointment. A written report is usually provided within 24 hours.
What if my scan shows something concerning?
The team will explain the findings and advise next steps, which may include surgeon consultation, biopsy, MRI or onward NHS/private referral.
