Two CQC-Regulated Locations
Central London (Harley Street area) and St Albans. Both fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
Transabdominal vs transvaginal pelvic ultrasound
Pelvic ultrasound may be performed externally over the lower tummy, internally with consent, or as a combined approach when clinically appropriate.
Transabdominal Scan (External)
Performed over the lower abdomen to give a wider view of the pelvic organs, including uterus, ovaries and bladder.
Preparation: Usually requires a full bladder. You may be asked to drink water before the appointment.
Transvaginal Scan (Internal)
A slim ultrasound probe is gently inserted into the vagina to provide detailed close-up images of the uterus, endometrium and ovaries.
Preparation: Usually requires an empty bladder. This scan is only performed with your consent.
Choose from 12 specialist pelvic scans
Clear product cards, direct links and transparent prices. Most pelvic scans assess the uterus, ovaries and endometrium; transvaginal assessment is performed only with consent and is often the most detailed part of the examination.
