The Heart Health Check Plus is a comprehensive cardiovascular and metabolic health assessment combining six components in a single visit:

1. Cardiologist consultation with a GMC-registered Consultant Cardiologist
2. Echocardiogram — heart ultrasound
3. 12-lead ECG
4. Cardiovascular physical examination
5. GP consultation reviewing all findings holistically
6. Advanced Bloods panel (haematology, kidney, liver, bone, lipids, HbA1c, thyroid, ferritin)

From £685 all-inclusive. Same-day appointments available. No GP referral required.

The standard Heart Health Check (£449) is a focused Cardiologist-led same-day cardiac assessment.

Heart Health Check Plus (£685) adds two important components:

• GP consultation providing a holistic health review and integration of cardiac findings with overall health
• Advanced Bloods panel covering Full Blood Count, kidney function, liver function, bone markers, HbA1c (3-month diabetes marker), thyroid profile (TSH, Free T4), ferritin (iron stores), and full lipid profile (Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides)

Choose Plus if: you want both cardiovascular and metabolic biomarker assessment with GP integration. Plus is our most popular Heart Health Check tier.

The Heart Health Check Plus costs £685 all-inclusive. The fee includes:

• Cardiologist consultation
• Echocardiogram performed by the Cardiologist
• 12-lead ECG
• Cardiovascular physical examination
• GP consultation
• Advanced Bloods panel processed by The Doctor’s Laboratory (TDL)
• Same-day verbal results on cardiac findings
• Advanced Bloods results within 24-48 hours
• Integrated written report within 3-5 working days

Booking these components separately would cost over £900 — Plus represents savings of more than £215.

The Plus tier Advanced Bloods panel is processed by The Doctor’s Laboratory (TDL) and covers:

• Haematology: Full Blood Count (FBC), ESR
• Kidney function: Urea, Creatinine, eGFR, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate
• Liver function: Bilirubin, ALP, AST, ALT, Gamma GT, Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin
• Bone & metabolic: Calcium, Phosphate, Uric Acid
• Diabetes: Glucose, HbA1c (3-month sugar control)
• Lipid profile: Total Cholesterol, HDL (“good”), LDL (“bad”), Triglycerides
• Thyroid: TSH, Free T4
• Iron status: Ferritin (iron stores)

Together these markers identify diabetes, pre-diabetes, dyslipidaemia, kidney or liver dysfunction, anaemia, thyroid disease, and inflammation.

Both Plus and Premium include the same Cardiologist-led cardiac assessment and GP consultation. The difference is the additional imaging included in the higher tier.

Plus (£685) includes GP consultation and Advanced Bloods alongside the core Heart Health Check components.

Premium (£995) adds Carotid Doppler ultrasound for carotid artery plaque assessment and stroke-risk screening support.

Choose Plus if: you want GP review and Advanced Bloods.

Choose Premium if: you also want carotid artery Doppler imaging.

The Heart Health Check Plus is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team:

• Cardiac assessment — performed by one of our GMC-registered Consultant Cardiologists: Dr Farveh Vakilian, Dr Hana Pospisilova, or Dr Mohammad Almajali. The Cardiologist personally performs your Echocardiogram.
• Blood sample — drawn by our trained phlebotomist, processed at The Doctor’s Laboratory (TDL).
• GP consultation — conducted by Dr Babak Soleimanpour, our Medical Director and GMC-registered GP (MRCGP, DRCOG, GMC: 6060555).

All work under unified medical governance.

You should consider Heart Health Check Plus if:

• You are aged 35 or older and want comprehensive cardiovascular and metabolic baseline screening
• You have noticed cardiac symptoms and want both cardiac and Advanced Bloods assessment
• You have multiple cardiovascular risk factors
• You are managing existing conditions (hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidaemia)
• You want a thorough cardiovascular and metabolic assessment beyond what the focused Heart Health Check provides

Plus is the most popular tier for routine annual cardiac screening.

The Heart Health Check Plus is delivered across approximately 90 minutes on the day:

• 60 minutes — Cardiologist-led cardiac assessment (consultation, Echocardiogram, ECG, physical examination)
• 15 minutes — Blood sample collection
• 15+ minutes — GP consultation (typically 3-5 days later once Advanced Bloods results are available)

The split format (cardiac assessment first, GP review once bloods return) allows the GP to integrate cardiac findings, Advanced Bloods, and clinical assessment into a single coherent plan.

For accurate blood and cardiac results:

• Fast for 8 hours before your appointment — water permitted (essential for accurate glucose, cholesterol, and triglyceride testing)
• Continue your usual medications unless specifically advised otherwise
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing in two pieces — you will need to undress to the waist for the Echocardiogram and ECG
• Avoid wearing perfume, deodorant, body lotion, or talcum powder on the chest area
• Bring any prior cardiology reports, ECGs, echocardiograms, or recent blood test results
• Allow 90 minutes for the appointment plus 10–15 minutes for arrival

Results are delivered in stages:

• Same day: Verbal results from your Cardiologist immediately after the Echocardiogram and ECG
• 24-48 hours: Blood test results available
• 3-5 working days: Comprehensive integrated written report combining cardiac findings, Advanced Bloods, and GP clinical interpretation

The GP consultation walks you through every finding in clinical context, explains what each result means, and provides personalised lifestyle and management recommendations.

Many of our patients are concerned that if they come to us, they won’t be able to go back to public health. That simply is not the case.

If your Heart Health Check Plus identifies a condition requiring NHS specialist management, we generate a same-day formal referral letter at no additional charge. The referral is significantly stronger because it includes a Consultant Cardiologist’s assessment, comprehensive Advanced Bloods results, and your GP’s clinical interpretation — meaning your specialist appointment is more productive from the first visit.
