This is a private liver and abdominal health check package. It is not an emergency service and does not replace urgent medical care for jaundice, severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black stools, confusion, collapse, severe weakness, fever with severe pain or serious acute illness.
Abnormal findings may require GP follow-up, hepatology referral, repeat imaging, CT/MRI, repeat blood tests, medication review, lifestyle intervention or urgent assessment depending on clinical context.

Abdominal ultrasound creates visual images of the liver and abdominal organs to assess structure, cysts, stones, masses or inflammation. FibroScan or Shearwave Elastography measures liver tissue stiffness and helps assess hidden scarring and fatty liver.
Does the package include Hepatitis B and C screening?
Yes. Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C screening are included in the Platinum blood panel.
Is FibroScan painful?
No. FibroScan or Shearwave Elastography is non-invasive and painless, and is usually performed alongside ultrasound.
When are results available?
Ultrasound and elastography reports are usually ready within 24 hours. Blood and viral screening results are usually finalised within 24 hours to 3 days, followed by the Friday GP review.
Do I need a referral?
No GP referral is required. You can book directly with London Private Ultrasound.
Is this suitable for urgent liver symptoms?
