What the screening ultrasound assesses
Pelvic ultrasound
Assessment of the uterus, endometrial lining, ovaries and visible adnexal and pelvic structures.
Breast ultrasound
Bilateral assessment of breast tissue, with targeted attention to palpable or symptomatic areas.
Axilla assessment
Assessment of visible axillary lymph nodes and focal armpit swelling or palpable concerns.
Doppler where appropriate
Vascularity may be assessed when clinically useful as part of ultrasound interpretation.
Written imaging report
A formal report documents ultrasound findings and can support GP or specialist follow-up.
Premium clinical review
Premium adds laboratory testing and GP discussion after the relevant results are available.
Important clinical scope: ultrasound and blood markers can identify findings that require further assessment, but they do not definitively diagnose or exclude all cancers. Depending on age, symptoms and imaging findings, further assessment may include mammography, specialist breast review, MRI, CT, hysteroscopy or biopsy.

The £395 Gold package includes pelvic ultrasound, bilateral breast ultrasound and bilateral axilla assessment. It does not include blood tests or GP consultation.
What is included in the Premium package?
The £740 Premium package includes the same three ultrasound examinations plus blood testing and a GP consultation after results are available.
Can ultrasound diagnose or rule out cancer?
No single ultrasound examination can definitively diagnose or exclude all cancers. Ultrasound can identify normal, benign, indeterminate or suspicious findings and guide whether additional imaging, specialist review or tissue sampling is needed.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can self-refer and book directly. Previous reports or imaging can be useful if available.
Can I request a female sonographer?
Yes. A female sonographer can be requested, subject to clinic and appointment availability.
What happens if an abnormality is identified?
Your written report documents the finding and appropriate next steps. Depending on the concern, this may include GP review, specialist breast or gynaecology assessment, mammography, MRI, hysteroscopy or biopsy.
