Essential Health Check in London

The £995 Essential Health Check combines a full body ultrasound assessment, essential blood tests, a private GP consultation and a detailed written report. It provides a coordinated baseline of structural, metabolic and general health without requiring a GP referral.

Specialist ultrasound imaging examines major organs, vascular structures and sex-specific areas, while laboratory testing adds information that imaging cannot provide. Your results are then reviewed in clinical context with a private GP.

What is included in the £995 package?

Imaging, laboratory testing and GP interpretation each answer a different part of the health picture.

1

Full body ultrasound

Radiation-free imaging of major organs, vascular structures and sex-specific areas, with findings explained during the appointment.

2

Essential blood tests

Laboratory markers covering haematology, organ function, metabolism, thyroid status, iron and selected vitamins.

3

Private GP review

A clinical review of the available scan and blood results, with personalised guidance and onward recommendations where appropriate.

Structural imaging

Your full body ultrasound assessment

Non-invasive ultrasound examines the structures that can be appropriately assessed with sound-wave imaging.

Thyroid & neck

Assessment of thyroid size, texture and focal nodules, with relevant visible neck structures reviewed.

Abdominal organs

Liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and abdominal aorta are assessed within the limits of ultrasound.

Urinary tract

Kidneys and bladder are assessed, with other urinary structures reviewed where visible and clinically relevant.

Women’s pelvic imaging

Assessment of the uterus, endometrium and ovaries for women, with the approach confirmed before the scan.

Men’s imaging

Assessment of the prostate, bladder and testes for men, according to the booked package pathway.

Vascular assessment

Carotid Doppler and abdominal aorta assessment provide structural and blood-flow information relevant to vascular health.

Important: ultrasound can identify or characterise many structural findings, but it cannot rule out every disease and is not a replacement for CT, MRI, endoscopy, mammography or urgent medical assessment when those are clinically indicated.

Laboratory testing

Essential blood-test panel

Blood testing adds functional and metabolic information that ultrasound cannot measure. Final markers should be confirmed with the clinic when booking.

  • Haematology: Full Blood Count and inflammation markers.
  • Kidney function: Urea, electrolytes and related renal markers.
  • Liver and bone profile: Selected liver-function and bone markers.
  • Metabolic health: Glucose, HbA1c and lipid profile.
  • Iron status: Iron, TIBC and ferritin.
  • Thyroid and vitamins: TSH, Free T4 and Vitamin D.
  • Sex-specific marker: CA125 for women and PSPA for men where clinically indicated.

Who it is for

A coordinated preventive-health baseline

This package may suit adults seeking a broader health overview that combines imaging, blood biomarkers and medical interpretation.

  • People seeking a baseline assessment of major organs and selected vascular structures.
  • Adults monitoring metabolic, thyroid, vitamin or general-health markers.
  • Patients who want GP-led interpretation rather than separate unconnected reports.
  • Health-conscious adults planning proactive screening without a GP referral.

Not for emergencies: chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe shortness of breath, collapse, heavy bleeding, acute severe pain or serious neurological symptoms require urgent medical care and should not wait for a routine health check.

Common questions

Essential Health Check FAQ

What is included in the Essential Health Check?

The £995 package combines full body ultrasound, essential blood tests, a private GP consultation and detailed written reporting.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly online. Call 020 7101 3377 if you would like help choosing between the Essential package and another health check.

When will I receive my results?

Ultrasound findings are normally explained during the appointment, with the ultrasound report usually issued within 24 hours. Blood-test timing depends on the laboratory and the selected markers.

Will the GP consultation happen on the same day?

The GP consultation is coordinated with your results and may be arranged on a separate occasion. Contact the clinic before booking if you require a fast-track or same-day pathway.

Can a health check rule out every disease?

No. Health screening provides useful information about the areas tested, but it cannot rule out every condition. Further GP, specialist, CT, MRI, mammography, endoscopy or other assessment may be advised depending on symptoms and findings.
