Why a Single Visit Makes Sense
Booking these components separately would mean three different visits, three separate reports, and over £1,344 in fees — and you would still need to find a GP willing to interpret them all together. The Comprehensive Health Check delivers everything in one coordinated visit.
Comprehensive Health Check — Value Breakdown
| Full Body Ultrasound (6 scans) | £600 |
| 24-marker Wellness Blood Panel | £544 |
| 30-min GP Consultation | £200 |
| Total when booked separately | £1,344 |
| Comprehensive Health Check package | £1,295 |
| You save | £49 |
More importantly than the cost saving, you receive: an integrated GP-led interpretation reading scan findings alongside blood results (no other private clinic offers this combined review at this price), a single coordinated visit, and an integrated written report drafted by your GP that you can share with your NHS GP if needed.
Compare Health Check Tiers

Your Comprehensive Health Check Appointment
Approximately 115 minutes total — Full Body Ultrasound (60 min), blood sample (20 min), GP consultation (30 min). Same-visit format available, or split format with GP review 3-5 days later (recommended, allowing all results to be discussed together).
Arrival & Preparation
Welcome at reception, check-in, and brief pre-assessment with the clinic team. Confirmation of your fasting status and any specific concerns you’d like to raise with the GP.
Full Body Ultrasound
Your ultrasound consultant performs the six-region examination — thyroid, carotid Doppler, abdomen, kidneys, pelvic/genital, and lymph nodes. Findings explained as the scan progresses, with same-day verbal results at the end.
Blood Sample
Our trained phlebotomist draws your blood sample for the 24-marker Comprehensive Wellness Panel. Quick, painless, and processed at our partner accredited laboratory. Results typically available in 24-48 hours.
GP Consultation
30-minute face-to-face consultation with Dr Babak Soleimanpour. Detailed history-taking, review of all scan findings alongside blood results, integrated clinical interpretation, cardiovascular and diabetes risk calculation, and a personalised lifestyle and management plan.
Integrated Written Report
Your comprehensive integrated written report is delivered — combining all scan findings, blood results, and GP clinical interpretation. Includes any onward referral letters needed for NHS specialist management.
GP-Led Integrated Interpretation
The defining feature of our Health Check Packages is the integrated GP-led interpretation. Most clinics deliver scans and bloods separately, leaving the patient to piece findings together. Here, your GP reads everything together.
Single Integrated Report
Not three separate reports for you to make sense of — one comprehensive document combining ultrasound, bloods, and GP clinical interpretation in context.
30-Minute GP Time
Six times longer than a typical NHS GP appointment. Time to actually discuss every finding, your history, your concerns, and a personalised plan.
Consultant-Performed Ultrasound
Every Health Check ultrasound is performed by a registered ultrasound consultant or qualified sonographer — never delegated. Quality is non-negotiable.
Same-Day Scan Results
You walk out of the ultrasound knowing the imaging findings — no anxious waiting. Blood and GP review follow within days, not weeks.
NHS-Strength Referrals
If onward NHS referral is needed, our letters include confirmed imaging findings and blood results — making your specialist appointment immediately productive.
CQC Regulated
Fully registered with the Care Quality Commission. Medical oversight by GMC-registered Medical Director. CQC Champion ensures ongoing compliance.

Who performs the Health Check?
Three specialists work together on your Comprehensive Health Check:
- Ultrasound — performed by one of our registered ultrasound consultants: Mr Pedram Aghaei, Mr Reza Farahmandfar, Dr Reza Salehi, Mrs Ruchi Gupta, or Mr Edwardo Murakami. All are qualified and registered with relevant UK professional bodies including BMUS, SVT, and the Society of Radiographers.
- Blood sample — drawn by our trained phlebotomist at our clinic, processed at our partner accredited laboratory.
- GP consultation — conducted by Dr Babak Soleimanpour, our Medical Director and a GMC-registered GP (MD, MRCGP, DRCOG, GMC: 6060555).
All work under the Medical Director’s clinical governance.
How long does the appointment take?
The Comprehensive Health Check is delivered across approximately 115 minutes on the day of your appointment:
- 60 minutes — Full Body Ultrasound examination
- 20 minutes — Blood sample collection
- 30 minutes — GP consultation reviewing all findings
The consultation is typically scheduled either:
- Same-visit format: immediately after the scan and bloods (faster but with bloods preliminary)
- Split format (recommended): 3-5 days later once blood results are available, allowing all findings to be discussed together
When will I receive my results?
Results are delivered in stages:
- Same day: Verbal ultrasound results from your consultant immediately after the scan
- 24-48 hours: Blood test results available
- 3-5 working days: Comprehensive integrated written report from your GP — combining ultrasound findings, blood results, and clinical interpretation
The GP consultation walks you through every finding in clinical context, explains what each result means for your health, and provides personalised lifestyle and preventive recommendations.
If any findings require urgent attention, you will be contacted on the same day.
What conditions can be detected?
The Comprehensive Health Check provides screening across many body systems:
Ultrasound findings can detect:
- Thyroid nodules & goitre
- Carotid plaque (stroke risk)
- Fatty liver disease (NAFLD/MASLD)
- Gallstones
- Kidney stones & cysts
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)
- Pancreatic abnormalities
- Ovarian cysts & uterine fibroids (women)
- Prostate enlargement & testicular abnormalities (men)
- Lymphadenopathy
Blood markers can identify:
- Anaemia
- Inflammation
- Kidney or liver dysfunction
- Diabetes or pre-diabetes
- High cholesterol
- Vitamin deficiencies (D, B12, iron)
- Thyroid dysfunction
- Elevated cancer markers prompting further investigation
The GP integrates all findings to identify any health conditions or risk factors requiring intervention.
How should I prepare?
For accurate blood and ultrasound results:
- Fast for 8 hours before your appointment — water permitted (essential for accurate glucose, cholesterol, and gallbladder/pancreas imaging)
- Drink 500ml of water 30 minutes before arrival to fill the bladder for pelvic assessment
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing in two pieces
- Take your usual medications unless specifically advised otherwise
- Bring any current prescriptions list, prior imaging or blood tests, and a list of specific health concerns for the GP
- Allow 2 hours for the full appointment
The scan and blood test are non-invasive — you can drive yourself afterward.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You do not require a GP referral. Self-refer directly online at londonsono.com or call 020 7101 3377.
Same-day appointments are often available, including weekends. Both clinics offer the Comprehensive Health Check:
- Central London: 27 Welbeck Street, W1G 8EN (Harley Street medical district)
- St Albans: 54–56 Victoria Street, AL1 3HZ
If you would prefer a same-gender clinician for the ultrasound examination, please mention this when booking.
How does this work with the National Health Service?
Many of our patients are concerned that if they come to us, they won’t be able to go back to public health. That simply is not the case.
If your Health Check identifies a condition requiring NHS specialist management, we generate a same-day formal referral letter for your GP at no additional charge. The referral is significantly stronger because it includes:
- Confirmed imaging findings
- Comprehensive blood results
- Your private GP’s clinical assessment
This means your specialist appointment is more productive from the first visit. Many patients use the Health Check as a thorough baseline before discussing specific concerns with their NHS GP.
