Appendicitis Health Package

Price: £395

Introducing our specialized Appendicitis Health Package, meticulously designed to address the urgent need for assessment and diagnosis of potential appendicitis while ensuring comprehensive evaluation and personalized care under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals. This package is intended for individuals experiencing symptoms suggestive of appendicitis but are not acutely unwell or in severe abdominal pain.

Package Includes:

1. Appendix Ultrasound Scan: A dedicated ultrasound scan of the appendix will be performed to assess for signs of inflammation, enlargement, or other abnormalities indicative of appendicitis. This imaging procedure plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of appendicitis and aids in determining the appropriate course of action.

2. Routine Private GP Appointment: You’ll receive a routine private appointment with our general practitioner, allowing for a thorough assessment of your symptoms, medical history, and physical examination. Your GP will discuss your symptoms in detail and recommend appropriate diagnostic tests and further management based on your individual case.

3. Blood Tests:

    • Full Blood Count (FBC) with Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR): These tests help evaluate for signs of inflammation and infection, which may be indicative of appendicitis.
  • Biochemistry:
    • Kidney Function Test: Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Urea, Creatinine, estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR): These tests assess kidney function and overall health, ensuring the safe administration of any necessary treatments.
    • Liver Function Tests: Bilirubin, Alkaline Phosphatase (Alk Phos), Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Gamma-Glutamyltransferase (Gamma GT), Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin: These tests assess liver function and screen for liver disorders, which may present with similar symptoms to appendicitis.
    • Cardiac/Muscle Enzymes: LDH, CK: These enzymes may be included to evaluate for any cardiac or muscle-related conditions that could mimic symptoms of appendicitis.
    • Bone Markers: Calcium, Phosphate, Uric Acid: These tests assess bone health and mineral metabolism, providing additional insights into your overall health status.
    • Glucose, Triglycerides, Cholesterol: These tests provide information about metabolic health, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation.
    • Iron (Total Iron Binding Capacity included): Relevant to overall health and may provide additional information regarding inflammatory processes.
    • CRP (C-Reactive Protein): CRP is a marker of inflammation and can aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of appendicitis.
