Hernias Health Package

Price: £425

Introducing our specialized Hernias Health Package, meticulously designed to provide comprehensive evaluation and management for individuals with suspected or diagnosed hernias. This package combines advanced diagnostic imaging, consultations, and specialized blood tests to ensure a thorough assessment tailored to your hernia-related concerns.

Package Includes:

1. Hernia Ultrasound Scan: A targeted ultrasound scan of the anterior abdominal wall or groin region will be performed. This imaging technique allows us to detect and assess hernias, including inguinal, femoral, and other types, as well as evaluate any associated complications or abnormalities.

2. GP Consultation: You’ll have a dedicated consultation with our general practitioner, providing an opportunity to discuss your hernia-related symptoms, concerns, and medical history. Your GP will conduct a thorough examination and review of your symptoms to develop a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.

3. Blood Test:

  • Haematology:
    • Full Blood Count (FBC) with Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR): These tests help assess for signs of inflammation or infection, which may be relevant to hernia-related complications.
  • Biochemistry:
    • Kidney Function Test: Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Urea, Creatinine, estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR): These tests evaluate kidney function and overall health, ensuring safety during any surgical interventions or treatments.

    • Cardiac/Muscle Enzymes: LDH, CK: These enzymes may be included to evaluate for any cardiac or muscle-related conditions that could impact hernia management.
    • Bone Markers: Calcium, Phosphate, Uric Acid: These tests assess bone health and mineral metabolism, providing additional insights into overall health status.
    • Glucose, Triglycerides, Cholesterol: These tests provide information about metabolic health, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation.
    • Iron (Total Iron Binding Capacity included): Relevant to overall health and may provide additional information regarding inflammatory processes.
