Package Includes:

1. Hernia Ultrasound Scan: A targeted ultrasound scan of the anterior abdominal wall or groin region will be performed. This imaging technique allows us to detect and assess hernias, including inguinal, femoral, and other types, as well as evaluate any associated complications or abnormalities.

2. GP Consultation: You’ll have a dedicated consultation with our general practitioner, providing an opportunity to discuss your hernia-related symptoms, concerns, and medical history. Your GP will conduct a thorough examination and review of your symptoms to develop a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.

3. Blood Test:

  • Haematology:
    • Full Blood Count (FBC) with Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR): These tests help assess for signs of inflammation or infection, which may be relevant to hernia-related complications.
  • Biochemistry:
    • Kidney Function Test: Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Urea, Creatinine, estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR): These tests evaluate kidney function and overall health, ensuring safety during any surgical interventions or treatments.
    • Liver Function Tests: Bilirubin, Alkaline Phosphatase (Alk Phos), Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Gamma-Glutamyltransferase (Gamma GT), Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin: These tests assess liver function and screen for liver disorders that may impact surgical outcomes.
