Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm (AAA)

London Private Ultrasound (LPU) offers an abdominal aorta aneurysm (AAA) ultrasound scan to the male and female patients over 18 years old. The aneurysm is more common in men over 65 years old.
The aneurysm is a bulging or swelling in the abdominal aorta, the main blood vessel that brings blood from the heart to the tummy and lower part of the body. Severely dilated vessels (more than 5 cm) or aneurysms are fatal and can cause sudden death if they burst.
The aneurysm can happen in other main arteries such as iliac, femoral, or popliteal arteries (Abdomen and leg arteries) or even in the brain arteries.
The Abdominal aorta aneurysm Ultrasound diagnostic examination includes the evaluation of the Abdominal Aorta, Common iliac, External and internal iliac, and common femoral arteries.
It can be serious if aneurysm isn’t spotted initially, because it could become bigger and finally burst (rupture). LPU can provide the answers to your questions and offer you more information about your Abdominal aorta aneurysm private ultrasound scan.

I highly recommend the speed and accuracy of the ultrasound service. It is fairly priced and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable. If you like me were unfortunately misdiagnosed by the nhs but still felt something wasnt quite right. The ultrasound scan showed a kidney infection that the nhs had missed and not treated. And I was able to push for antibiotic treatment after months of back pain. It also showed a second area of concern which the nhs had been very slow to follow up on with my thyroid. Now it is being biopsied. Highly recommend Mr Pedram M.Aghaei.

I got a next day appointment for my mum who has not been feeling very well. Each of the professionals who looked after her was incredibly kind, patient and helpful. They talked us through everything they were seeing on the scans, which doesn't happen on the NHS. That gave us a piece of mind in the room. We also received the blood and urine results from the lab the same day and while everything was fine, thankfully, we still got a 30-40 minute appointment with the GP a few days later to talk us through the test results, as well as any other worries we might have had. I cannot recommend this clinic enough.

Fantastic team and a great experience. I came in from the U.S. because our medical system is ridiculous, and I just needed a quick scan to put my mind at ease. The team was friendly, efficient, the cost was reasonable and I received my results immediately to put my mind at ease. I was also offered options for future screenings - I'll definitely be a "Medical Tourist" to London Private Ultrasound in the future! :)

I booked an echocardiogram on 23 April 2024 for suspected heart failure, in order to obtain swifter treatment than on the NHS, and also for my peace of mind. I was very impressed with how simple this was to arrange, and the experience itself was both professional and pleasant. Following the test I also had a scan, and the results, which in my case were moderately reassuring, were clearly explained on the spot. I was then emailed both results for passing on to my GP. I would not hesitate to recommend London Private Ultrasound.
