A Full Body Ultrasound Scan is a comprehensive 60-minute examination covering 6 major body regions in a single appointment:

• Thyroid and neck — including thyroid gland, salivary glands, and neck lymph nodes
• Carotid arteries — Doppler assessment of both sides for stroke risk
• Abdomen — liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and abdominal aorta
• Kidneys and urinary tract — both kidneys and bladder
• Pelvic (women: uterus, ovaries, endometrium) or Testis & Prostate (men)
• Lymph node assessment of accessible groups

Performed by a registered ultrasound consultant using premium imaging equipment. From £600 all-inclusive. No GP referral required.

Full Body Ultrasound Scan costs £600 all-inclusive. The fee includes:

• 60-minute consultation with a registered ultrasound consultant
• Six comprehensive ultrasound examinations
• Same-day verbal results
• Comprehensive written report with images delivered within 24 hours
• Onward referral letter to your GP if findings require further investigation

When booked individually, the same six scans would cost over £1,344. The package represents savings of more than £700.

The Full Body Ultrasound includes six comprehensive examinations:

1. Thyroid & neck — thyroid gland, salivary glands, neck lymph nodes, and any palpable neck lumps (standalone £219)
2. Carotid Doppler — both carotid arteries assessed for narrowing and stroke risk (standalone £249)
3. Abdomen — liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and abdominal aorta (standalone £219)
4. Kidneys and urinary tract — both kidneys and bladder (standalone £219)
5. Pelvic (women) covering uterus, ovaries, endometrium, and adnexa, OR Testis and Prostate (men) (standalone £219)
6. Lymph node assessment of accessible groups (standalone £219)

All are qualified ultrasound consultants or sonographers registered with relevant UK professional bodies including BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society), SVT (Society for Vascular Technology), and the Society of Radiographers. Medical oversight is provided by our Medical Director, Dr Babak Soleimanpour (GMC: 6060555).

The Full Body Ultrasound can detect a wide range of conditions:

• Thyroid: nodules, cysts, goitre, thyroiditis
• Carotid: plaque, stenosis, stroke risk markers
• Liver: fatty liver disease, cysts, masses
• Gallbladder: gallstones, polyps, sludge
• Kidneys: stones, cysts, masses, hydronephrosis
• Aorta: abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)
• Pancreas: cysts, masses, ductal abnormalities
• Spleen: enlargement, masses
• Bladder: wall thickening, stones, masses
• Pelvic (women): fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial thickening, adnexal masses
• Genital (men): testicular masses, varicoceles, prostate enlargement
• Lymph nodes: abnormal enlargement requiring further investigation

Any findings are explained on the day and a written report with onward referral guidance is provided.

For optimal imaging quality:

• Fast for 6 hours before your appointment — water is permitted. This is essential for clear gallbladder and pancreas imaging
• Drink 500ml of water 30 minutes before arrival — fills the bladder for pelvic assessment
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing in two pieces (top and bottom)
• Bring any prior imaging or medical correspondence
• Allow 60 minutes for the full appointment, plus 10–15 minutes for arrival and check-in

The scan is non-invasive, painless, and uses no ionising radiation. You can drive yourself to and from the appointment, and return to normal activity immediately afterward.

Many of our patients are concerned that if they come to us, they won’t be able to go back to public health. That simply is not the case. Our goal is to give you a comprehensive screening as quickly as possible and get you on the right pathway — no strings attached.

If your scan identifies a condition requiring NHS specialist management — for example a suspicious lesion, abdominal aortic aneurysm requiring vascular surgery follow-up, or a finding that needs onward investigation — we generate a same-day formal referral letter for your GP at no additional charge.

The referral is significantly stronger because it includes confirmed imaging findings — meaning your specialist appointment is more productive from the first visit.

The three tiers cover progressively more comprehensive screening:

• Full Body Ultrasound (£600) — best for general preventive screening of the major non-invasively assessable organs.
• Full Body Ultrasound Plus (£800) — adds breast (both), armpit, and chest wall ultrasound. Recommended if you want the most comprehensive ultrasound-only screening.
• Full Body Ultrasound Premium (£1,200) — adds full Heart Health Check (Echocardiogram, ECG, physical examination, vital signs, and Cardiologist consultation). Recommended if you have any cardiovascular risk factors or want the most thorough screening available.
